| Determination of the performance
of air-entrained concrete incorporating ground granulated blast-furnace
slag (ggbfs), and air-entrained and non air-entrained concretes incorporating
silica fume. Test prisms installed at Treat Island . . . . . . . . . 1982 |
Phase V(A) - 1982 This phase involved the evaluation of the performance of air-entrained concrete incorporating large volumes of blast-furnace slag from a U.S. source. The water-quenched, ground granulated slag, used as a replacement for cement was 80 percent, and the water-to-cementitious materials ratio investigated were 0.40, 0.50, and 0.60. Phase V(B) - 1982 This phase involved the determination of the long-term durability of air-entrained and non air-entrained concrete incorporating silica fume either as a direct replacement for cement or as an addition to cement. In either case, the percentages of silica fume used were 0, 10, 15, and 20 by mass of portland cement. |
