Determination of the performance of beams that were unreinforced,
reinforced, or reinforced with epoxy-coated reinforcement. |
This phase is a joint CANMET/3M Canada Ltd. project, and deals with the relative performance of air-entrained concrete beams reinforced with uncoated steel reinforcement and epoxy-coated steel reinforcement. Also, unreinforced plain concrete beams were cast for reference purposes. The water-to-cement ratios for the concrete were 0.45 and 0.60 with cement factors of 380 and 275 kg/m3, respectively. No supplementary cementing materials were incorporated into the concrete. |
